Full HTTPS support
StoreFront supports Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) for all data communication. When accessing any page in a store, the browser will show the 'secure' green lock icon in the address bar. For stores that use a custom domain name, there is no need to purchase a separate SSL-certificate as StoreFront automatically takes care of this using Let's Encrypt certificates.
Payment Gateways
The security of online payments is ensured by payment gateway services integrated in StoreFront. The supported gateway services depend on your location and include Ingenico (Worldline brand), PayPal, Mercado Pago, Stripe, Bambora and Inicis. These systems handle all payment aspects and do not require that credit card data is stored on the StoreFront web servers.
